Jo Nell Stephens, 78, passed from this life Tuesday morning April 4, 2023, at the Village at Heritage Oaks in Corsicana. Jo was born in Denton, Texas on November 17, 1944, to Morris Barron and Marion Griffin.
Jo was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church and loved to read novels of all kinds. She retired in 1999 after 30 years from Liberty Mutual, where she worked as a supervisor in the underwriting department.
Jo was preceded in death by her husband Herchel Stephens and her son Kevin Stephens.
She is survived by her two children Scott & wife Chelena Stephens and Kerri & husband Terry Oliphant, Grandson Chase Thomas & wife Christian, Granddaughters Chelsea Kuykendall & husband Logan and Addison Oliphant and one great grandchild Ethan Kuykendall. She is also survived by her sibling Phil Barron and wife Paula, niece Amanda Morrison and husband Ron, nephews Phillip Barron and Patrick Barron. She leaves behind her friends Barbara Moe, Christie Woods, Debbie Ranson, Billy & Nancy Sykes, Donna Rogers, Wanza Warren, and Cindy Tewes.
