Former Anchorage homemaker and businesswoman Annajean Abraham Goff, 61, died Saturday at Providence Hospital. She was on her annul pilgrimage to Anchorage at the time of her death. A service was at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2240 Baxter Road, with Bishop Underhill officiating. After the funeral, a graveside service was held in Wasilla at Aurora Cemetery.
Mrs. Goff was born Sept. 1, 1932, in Byron, Wyo., to a pioneer Mormon family, Griff and Annie Abraham. She graduated from Byron High School and many real estate courses. On January 6, 1951, she married Robert Goff in Byron. She had been a Realtor in both Virginia and Alaska. After becoming a real estate broker in Alaska, she started Annajean's, a local real estate brokerage. This business closed when she moved to Washington, D.C., where her husband had been transferred. Her last business was Goff Investments in Anchorage before retiring with her husband to Wyoming in 1984. Since then, she spent a part of each year in Alaska. She was a volunteer for the Abused Women Center in Rawlins, Wyo. Her family said, "After retirement, flower gardening, visiting children and grandchildren and in general helping anyone she could occupied her time. She was an exceptionally dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. The Church of Latter Day Saints was her beloved faith."
Mrs. Goff is survived by her loving husband, Bob of Worland, Wyo.; her daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Dean Batt of Worland; Nancy and Joseph Kraft of Euless, Texas; her sons and daughters-in-law; Griff and Carla of Moorcroft, Wyo., James of Anchorage, Charles and Marie of Garland, Texas; sisters, Katherine Mauch of Garland, and Laura Nation of Byron; brother, John Abraham of Spanish Fork, Utah; and grandchildren Mary and Deana Batt of Worland; Cory, Kandi, Lacey and Cold of Moorcroft; Melanie, Jared and Brandy Kraft of Euless; and Kevin and Joseph of Anchorage. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amanda Goff. Arrangements by Witzleben Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
