The Carnegie Herald, Wed., Feb. 8, 1928Gineva Allison was born at Lima, Ohio, February 17, 1852. In 1868, with her parents, she came to Missouri where she taught school for some time at Dell Delight. On February 12, 1874, she was married to M.J. Lovell, who survives her. To this union was born eleven children, five of whom are still living. Mrs. Mary Harding, Yates Center, Kans., J.O. Lovell, Sedan, Okla., S.M. Lovell, Enterprise, Ore., Mrs. Bertha Turner, Alden, Okla., and E.A. Lovell, Alden, Okla. Shortly after her marriage she was converted to the Christian faith and has lived a faithful Christian life, devoting a great deal of her time to the studying of the word of God. to which she would want to refer in conversing with anyone. For a number of years she has been a member of the Christian church at Carnegie. In 1875, with her husband, she came to Kansas, where she resided until 1902, when she came to Oklahoma fifteen miles south of Carnegie, settling on a claim, her home until February 1, 1928, when she passed away at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 15 days. As a member of the ladies' Be Square club of Green Valley, she was greatly interested in the social affairs of her community. At 3 p.m., February 2, Brother W.A.R. Lovell of Carnegie conducted the funeral services at the Green Valley school house where a large number of friends and acquaintances assembled to pay their respects to a passing friend. She was loved and respected by all who gained her acquaintance. She was laid to rest in the Green Valley cemetery, leaving her husband, five children, 27 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, 1 uncle and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her departure. Relatives attending from a distance were Orr Allison, a brother; J.W. Bower, a brother in law, Chanute, Kans.; Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Harding, Yates Center, Kans.; Mrs. J.M. Bower, a sister, Mr. Bower, two daughters and a son from Snyder; N.B. Dial and daughter, Avis; Lee Harris and wife, Mangum; Marion Lovell and wife; Artie Compton and husband, Oney, and Ora Lovell of Anadarko.
