Roger Dale Cobb, 79, went peacefully to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 surrounded by his wife and girls.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Edgecombe Memorial Park with Pastor Ronnie Clemmons officiating. Visitation will start at 1:00 on Thursday at Carlisle Funeral Home until service time.
Roger was born in Edgecombe County to the late Tommy James Cobb and Nellie Morgan Cobb.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jackie Katherine Cobb; grandson, James Roger Hedgepeth; siblings, Irene James, Annie Harris, Patricia Clemmons, Susan Anderson, Tommy Cobb, Earline Webb.
He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 58 years, Bernice Ann Cobb; children, Leslie Bottoms and husband Jody; Sandy Adcock and husband Carlton; JoBeth Cobb; Lisa Cobb and fiancé Timmy; grandchildren, Cameron Bottoms, Dillon Lynn, Ginger Martin, Dale Adcock, Thomas Adcock, Josh Adcock, Morgan Evans, Jessica Brown, Casey Wainright, Erica Sasser, Kaitlyn Sasser, Joann Massey, Hailey Hedgepeth, Chyenne Frost, Junior Frost, 28 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Peggy Lee and husband Roy.
Roger loved his family. He especially enjoyed being around his grandchildren. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing which he loved teaching his grandkids as well as many other things.
Roger worked at Natural Gas for 9 years and worked at Edgemont in Wilson where he retired from after 23 years. Roger was also a farmer and a hard-working man. He was known by everyone as Corn Cobb KPQ 2254. There are no words to describe how much he was loved and will be missed.
