Carolyn Singleton Volentine was born on July 23, 1937 in Hurricane, Louisiana to Quinton and Ruby Chandler. She departed this world in Farmerville, Louisiana on March 18, 2023.

Carolyn faithfully followed Jesus and the path He created for her every day. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and an even better baker who always loved to spoil her family with new recipes and desserts. You could always expect a late-night snack of freshly baked cookies and a cup of coffee. She loved playing the piano, often doing so on Sunday mornings in church. She looked forward to quiet time reading her daily devotional and Bible and working on crossword puzzles. She enjoyed shopping and traveling.

Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Denise Douglas and husband Bill of Lafayette, Louisiana, Judy Kreymer of Orange, Texas, and Debby Pyles and husband Randy of Dubach, Louisiana; grandchildren Michael Bearden and wife Lauren, Trey Douglas and Courtney, Chad Bearden, Warren Pyles and wife Tonya, and Nicole Douglas Smith and husband Ted; brother Stanley Chandler and wife Jackie. She is also survived by a host of great and great-great grandchildren, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

She is preceded in death by Robert Singleton, husband of 40 years; Fred Volentine, husband of 12 years; parents, Quinton and Ruby Chandler; son-in-law, Don Kreymer.

Serving as pallbearers will be Warren Pyles, Michael Bearden, Trey Douglas, Ted Smith, Randy Pyles, and John Pyles.

"So also, you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you." John 16:22
