Geraldine "Jeri" Marble Reeder
December 27, 1937 - December 3, 2022

Our dear wife, mother, sister, grandma, and friend Geraldine "Jeri" Marble Reeder passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of December 3rd. Jeri was born to Iona Roberts and Leslie Marble on December 27th, 1937. She had three brothers and five sisters whom she loved very much, Leslie Wayne, Betty Lou, Barbara Elaine, Donna Rae, Jack Edwin, Erma Mae, Linda Ann, and George Michael.

As a child, she liked playing games with her siblings and other children in her neighborhood. As she grew, she developed many interests and talents. Reading, singing, drawing, and writing poetry were just a few of them. She worked hard doing household chores and earning money by picking fruit, cleaning, and babysitting; She met her future husband, Lynn J. Reeder, in Physiology class, at Box Elder High School. He smiled at her, and she smiled at him; the rest was history. They were sealed together for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah, temple on April 30th,1958. Nine beautiful children were born to this special union, Ronnie (Lisa), Diann (Dave), Ilene, Jill (Sam) Ashtawy, Daniel (Beckee), CarieSue (Marty) Beyler, Mark, Ben, and Ted.

Jeri was kind, loving, and nurturing to her little ones. She taught them the principles of the gospel, and the importance of serving the Lord and others around them. She demonstrated her love by spending many hours attending sporting events and concerts, sewing dance costumes, and scouting badges. She lovingly cared for her children when they were sick or hurt and cooked countless meals all out of love. Her devotion and love for them were always there for them no matter their age and her children will be forever grateful to her.

Lynn and Jeri had a fun-loving relationship sprinkled with a little humor and a lot of love. They enjoyed spending time together and attended the Box Elder County Fair every year and always danced their favorite dance, the two-step, while there. Going on walks and drives together were other favorite activities, and they frequently made trips up to Tony's Grove. There were also many camping trips to Clear Creek where good food, stories, and singing were enjoyed by all.

Jeri loved being a grandma and cherished each grandchild and great-grandchild. They all knew that their Grandma Reeder loved them. Easter and Christmas were favorite holidays, with the annual picnic, Easter egg hunt, and hike up to Blue Rock; Christmas was a wonderful time at the Reeder house where generations gathered together to share talents, sing, and make great memories. She always tried to make sure everybody felt loved, included, and happy.

She shared her testimony and her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, through her great example. She was constantly serving those around her. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and happily served wherever God needed her to be, holding many different callings. Including thirty-five years of teaching children in the primary.

She worked hard inside her home and outside of it to help support her family. She worked at Crystal Hot Springs, Head Start, Home Health Care, and Autoliv, where she was employed for many years before retiring.

Flower gardening was a passion for Jeri; everything she planted thrived and blossomed under her devotion and tender loving care. Each spring and summer, flowers of all varieties and colors bloom around her house in Honeyville. Helping make her family's home a place of beauty, healing, and peace.

Her kindness touched everyone who knew her; she was compassionate and would go out of her way to help those in need. Her life is a great legacy of love and faith. She always kept her chin up and put her shoulder to the wheel no matter the hardship. We will miss her sweet smile, hugs, kisses on the cheek, and great care and concern for all of us. We will miss her fun-loving nature and her sense of wonder and adventure. Because of God's great plan of happiness, we know we will be with her again.

She has had a joyful reunion in heaven with her daughter Ilene, her mother and father, and her older brother Wayne. She leaves on earth her husband Lynn Reeder of 64 years, eight children, twenty-six grandchildren, and thirty-four great-grandchildren.

The memorial service for Jeri will include two viewings, one on Thursday, December the 8th, 6:00-8:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 209 South in Brigham City, Utah, and the other before the funeral, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, at the Honeyville Church. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM in the Honeyville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2620 West 6980 North.

The interment will follow at the Honeyville cemetery.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Jeri's daughters, Cariesue and her family, Jill and Diann, and Hands of Hope for being her angels on earth and taking such great care of Jeri during the last few weeks before she passed on.
