George DeWayne Garner, 68 of Kannapolis, NC, died Thursday, March 23, 2023 at his home. DeWayne was born October 14, 1954 in Brunswick County and was the son of the late Bertis Babson.
He was a US Air Force Veteran. He was very active at the Prince of Peace Freewill Baptist Church in Kannapolis where he worked with the youth group. DeWayne enjoyed retirement and was very caring and loved helping others.
In addition to being survived by his mother, he is also survived by his daughter; three grandchildren; sister; and a niece.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at one o'clock in the afternoon at Sabbath Home Baptist Church Cemetery, Supply NC.
