Guyton – Linda D. Batchelor, 67, passed away March 30, 2023 at Memorial Health with her husband, John by her side.
The Chatham County native grew up in Port Wentworth, where she attended Bonnybridge Baptist Church. After she married John Batchelor, Jr., they moved to Guyton and later attended Zion Lutheran Church. She had worked as a bookkeeper at Piggly Wiggly for 41 years. Linda loved the beach, always saying everything was good when she "put her toes in the sand". One of her favorite pastimes was talking to her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Robert Batchelor, III; her parents, T.J. & Ethel Arledge; sister, Dorothy A. Barras; and nephews, Wayron L "Wayne" Burns, III and Thomas John "Tommy" Davis.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, John Robert Batchelor, Jr.; sister, Rose Marie "Susie" Davis; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Guerry Batchelor, Mark Batchelor (Michelle), Pam Sebastian (Rick), and Cindy Cordero (Francisco); best friend, Lucy Harvey; nieces and nephews and their families; and many friends.
Visitation: 5-7 pm Monday, April 3, 2023 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 am Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church
