Stella Marie Washburn, 90, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away on March 7, 2008.
Born in Northfork, AR., on June 9, 1917, she was the last surviving child of the late William H. and Caldonia (Williams) Smothers.
Stella was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who stated her occupation as "mishmash". She was a homemaker who greatly enjoyed being with her family, she loved to garden, both vegetables and flowers, and was an avid Cardinals baseball fan. Her greatest accomplishment & joy was her sons.
Stella was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Joe Lon Washburn, three sons: Levon, James "J.C." and Joe W. Washburn and two grandchildren: Sarah and Allen Washburn.
Stella is survived by her son David Washburn and his wife Letitia of Conway; a daughter-in-law: Yvonne Washburn of Illinois; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grand-children, and three great great-grand-children.
A graveside service were held at Strangers Home Cemetery in Alicia, AR. Arrangements were by: Roller McNutt Funeral home in Conway.
