Martin Aaser, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at his residence in Worthington, MN.

Martin Willard Aaser, 93, was born on August 8, 1929 in McVille, ND. He was the son of Ole and Marie (Franzen) Aaser. He grew up on the farm outside of McVille and graduated from the local high school. He went on to North Dakota State University to get his teaching degree in Agriculture education. He then got his Master's degree from Colorado State University. He taught Ag in Lakota, ND where he met and married (June 30, 1957) Dorothy Duba. They had three children before moving to Worthington, MN in 1968.

Martin was known for his lively and positive attitude toward everything he did. He was very active in the community with Lions club, the Shriners, riding his motorcycle in numerous parades over the years with the cycle patrol, American Lutheran Church, and later was very active in his Arizona retirement community. He was active up until the end of his life at the Meadows retirement community. Even recently he was still accompanying the accordian by playing his washboard. He made the most out of every situation and never ceased to enjoy his life to the full. Martin and Dorothy were known for their dancing. They started this in their courtship and continued into their retirement. Many remember them dancing the polka like pros!

Martin also had a passion for teaching. He valued students and he was very proud to have been able to mentor many teens as a teacher at Worthington High School and in Future Farmers of America and later teaching Agriculture students at Worthington Community College.

Martin lived an amazing life due to his commitment to his family and to his community. He was an entertainer, an emcee, and he brought life and light to everything he did. He took great pride in being 100% Norwegian. We will all miss him dearly. He died on March 28, 2023 at the Meadows in Worthington. He is survived by his family: 3 children and their spouses; 8 grandchildren; 4 Great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife, Dorothy and many beloved relatives.
