Wyndham/Windom was the son of John Elliott Pike and Ellen Kendall. Family lore says he traveled from England to Canada (probably Quebec) in a whaling ship. He then worked his way to the USA by 1880. Windom married Miriam Nancy Owens December 23, 1893 and they had 3 children.
