Mr. McCallon, 53, Kansas City, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1988, at a Springfield, Mo., hospital. Born at Fillmore, Mo., he had spent most of his life in the Kansas City area. He was a truck driver. Mr. McCallon was a member of the First Baptist Church, Smithville, Mo.
Surviving are six daughters, Mary A. McVay and Shelly Lattie, both of Kansas City, Mo., Sharon Cummins of Olathe, Kan., Debbie Lemny of St Joseph and Brenda Tritten and Melissa McCallon, both of Helena, Mo.; ten sons, Clifford L., of Liberty, Mo., Jeff L., Charles E., J. R. Hurst and Danny Hurst, all of Kansas City, Byron R. of Los Angeles, Calif., Melvin, Jr., of Olathe, Kan., and Michael, Mark and Marty, all of Helena, Mo.; a sister, Carol Anderson of Independence, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews."
