She was born Jan. 18, 1909, in Perry Township, Tippecanoe County. She graduated from Klondike High School and from Purdue University in 1932 with of bachelor's degree in home economics.
She was a home economics teacher for Klondike and Shadeland high schools, retiring in 1970 after 35 years. She was a member of Federated Church and the Mary L. Matthews Club. She was a 4-H leader for 30 years and enjoyed sewing.
Surviving are a niece, Mary Katherine Emerson of Pine Village, a nephew, James Krichbaum of Lafayette, 7 great-nephews and nieces, 12 great-great-nephews and nieces and 2 great-great-great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Krichbaum, a nephew, John Krichbaum Jr., and a great-nephew, Lee Franklin Emerson. www.soller-baker.com
