He was ordained as a minister of the Associated Dominion Churches of Christ (Disciples of Christ), in New Zealand, at the Annual Dominion Conference in Lower Hutt in October 1965. He is an alumnus of Otago University, Dunedin, New Zealand. He has served several churches, the first being Spring Grove Church, in Nelson, and then to Moorhouse Avenue, in the city of Christchurch. State-side, he served at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, in Garrard County, North Middletown Christian Church, First Christian Church, in Fort Thomas, and First Christian Church, in Sedalia, Missouri. After retirement, he served as interim pastor for several churches. He was also a voluntary chaplain at two city hospitals.
In addition to his wife, Rev. Linda Lou Case Curwood, who he married in 1976, he is survived by: a daughter, Rev. Anna Hope Curwood (Trent) Wills; an identical twin brother, John (Edith) Curwood; and a brother, Ivan (Noeline) Curwood. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ron (Joan) Curwood.
There will be a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Central Christian Church, with Rev. Elizabeth King officiating. Interment will be at North Middletown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to: Lexington Theological Seminary, 230 Lexington Green Circle #300, Lexington, Kentucky 40503; North Middletown Christian Church, 1976 Thatcher's Mill Road, P.O.
