Mrs. Brooks, born Nov. 27, 1907, in Randolph County, Ala., was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Mary E. Fullilove Williams. She was a member of First Christian Church and taught sewing for Singer Sewing Machine Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joe Alton Brooks, and a daughter, Mary Alice Brooks.
Survivors include a daughter, June Ewing of Americus, Ga.; a son, Billy Joe Brooks of LaGrange; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Flonnie Robinson of Roanoke; three brothers, Robert Williams and Harold Williams, both of Roanoke, and Ernest Williams of West Point, Ga.
Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Bob Moore officiating. Burial was in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
