Methodist Minister at Des Moines Formerly Served Churches in This Community
Des Moines, Ia., Dec. 31 (UP) - An apoplectic stroke was blamed today for the death last night of the Rev. N. A. Orcutt, pastor of the Gatchell Memorial Methodist Episcopal church here.
The death of Rev. Orcutt comes as a shock to many in this county who knew him well, especially those of Unionville and Iconium vicinities, where he served as pastor. He was pastor of the Unionville church during the period from 1911 to 1914, and after a lapse of two years was returned to this county by the conference, taking the church at Iconium during 1916 and 1917.
He is survived by a brother who is also in the Methodist ministry, Rev. O. G. Orcutt, who has served the church at Milton, and thus has become known to some in the eastern part of the county.
He was 60 years of age.
