• Services for Ozella Alexander-Johnson, 82, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Macdeonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Brewer and the Rev. Theodore Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gene Autry.
Mrs. Johnson was born June 20, 1919, in Newport to Henry and Minnie Gaines Alexander. She died Sept. 23, 2001, in a local health care facility.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Denson, who she married in 1937. She was also preceded by a daughter, Delois Lee, on July 9, 2000; brothers, Henry and Carl J. Alexander; and two sisters, Bertha Stevenson and Essie Scott.
Survivors include three sons, Dewith Denson, Oklahoma City, K.P. and Carl Denson, Ardmore; four daughters, Shirley Lewis and Barbara Reed, Fort Worth, Texas, Anna Denson and Zelda Knight, Ardmore; two brothers, Ralph Alexander, Dallas, and Robert Alexander, Denver; three sisters, Savannah Jackson, Ardmore, Melissa Willis, Denver, and Lorraine Jackson, Midwest City; 21 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Terrace Durham, Rafeal and Carlos Denson, Michael Lewis, Ray Wade, Bryan Fontenot and Dennis Glenn.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kirk-Dawson-Dillard Funeral Home.
