• Services for Gerald Warren Anderson, 45, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. C.M. Potter and the Rev. Wayne Lawson officiating. Interment will be at Hickory Cemetery, Milo, under the direction of Kirk-Dawson-Dillard Funeral Home.

Anderson was born July 17, 1956, in Ardmore where he died Sept. 21, 2001, in the local hospital.

A 1974 graduate of Ardmore High School, he attended Hampton and Langston universities and worked for Arco Oil and Atlas Roofing. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Latasha Monnik Anderson, on Oct. 29, 2000.

Survivors include two sons, Damian Gerrod, Fort Worth, Texas, and Zelto Jermaine Anderson, Ardmore; a daughter, Sametra LaDawyna Anderson, Ardmore; his parents, Zelto and Joyce Shannon Anderson, Ardmore; two sisters, Shirlene Newton, Milo, and Dayna Baker, Ardmore; two brothers, Sylvester "Wayne," Oklahoma City, and Darrell "Bugs," Ardmore; and five grandchildren.
