Dink, as he was known by family, was a name bestowed on him by his uncle Cecil. Roy was a graduate of Ashland High School and remained an avid fan of his beloved Ashland Tomcats. He played on several bowling leagues at the former Blue Ribbon Lanes for many years. His working life consisted of many years of dedicated service as a warehouse manager with the Ashland Specialty Company and the former Ohio Valley Wholesale. He was also a UK Sports fan.
Survivors include, several nieces, nephews and close friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the Dixon Cemetery in Westwood by Chaplain Jimm Smedley. He will be laid to rest next to his father and mother.
There will be no visitation.
