Prior to their leaving Utah Rachel would meet and marry husband Francis Kerby who had arrived in the U.S. aboard an LDS recruit program ship from the Jersey Isles, UK. Rachel and her husband later moved to the Webb district of Elfrida, Cochise County, AZ where she died and was buried at the local cemetery on Mormon Road in Elfrida. Several of her relatives live still in the Elfrida area of Cochise County.
