Marion Billups Sr. of Brushyknob Mo. passed away peacefully in his home, Thursday Dec. 12th 2019. He was 90 years, 10 months and 11 days old. Marion was born on May 25th, 1929 to parents Gertrude Buckner and Frank Billups in Springfield Mo. He was married in October of 1960 to his late wife Ellie (Liz) Billups. Together they had three children, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by the three children Marion also has seven grandchildren. He was also blessed with fourteen great grandchildren. Two great, great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews and friends. Marion was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a Navy veteran from the Korean war. He served aboard the battleship, USS New Jersey. He was very proud of serving his country. He will be greatly missed, always remembered and forever loved. Marion chose not to have a funeral, so we will be hosting a memorial dinner in his honor Jan. 4th 2020, from 12- 4. This will be held at the southern Webster country fire station in Seymour Mo.
