ANNE ALMA KROEKER With the love and support of family and friends around her, and in her heart, Anne Alma Kroeker (nee Rempel), passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital on June 11, 2016. Anne lived life to the fullest. A business woman most of her life, she was also an amazing cook, an avid gardener and a wizard at crossword puzzles. Even when she wasn't teasing us, she had an irrepressible smile to go along with that twinkle in her eye. She had an abiding passion for dogs, and always had at least one furry friend along for the ride. The lake (Nestor Falls, Ontario) was her peaceful place. Growing up in a large family means there are too many stories to tell, so we won't even try. Needless to say, her brothers and sisters - William Rempel (Sylvia), John Rempel (Dee), Margaret Giesbrecht (Henry), Hilda Gleason (Jimmy), Kathy Burke (Ron), Dorothy Cumming (Gordon) - and all her nieces and nephews, were treasured by her. There were a few challenging times in her life. It brought the greatest sadness to have her husband, George, predeceased her in 2008. Left to cherish her memory are her three children (Darrell, James, Lori), three grandchildren (Jared, Mikaela, Justin), two great-grandchildren (Bentley, Sierra), and many other family members and friends she loved dearly. Mom, Grandma, Anne, you will be very much missed by all of us, but we are content knowing you lived a full life, and that you and George will be together again. Hugs and kisses on your journey. Thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital, especially Dr. Thomas and nurses Eumir and Melissa, for the very compassionate care of Anne in the last few weeks of her life. A private internment will be held at a later date. KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 HENDERSON HWY 204-338-0331 Condolences may be sent to www.klassenfuneralhome.com
