He was born May 3, 1952 in Akron, OH to the late Harold Edgar Dunn.
He was also preceded by his sister, Deborah Dunn Bradley.
He owned and operated his own construction company. His first love was racing and started bracket racing at the age of 16 where he worked his way up to the top fuel division. He took it another step further when he decided to own and operate the Wilkesboro Raceway Park. After a long life of racing cars, he decided to retire and enjoy all of the beauty of the mountains in Boone.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria Neal Dunn; by two daughters, Tracy Dunn (Jason) Mulkey and Trina Dawn Dunn; two grandchildren, Luke Mulkey and Madison Dunn; ex-wife, Ramona Helsley Dunn; nephews, Danny Bradley and Toby Bradley; niece, Lisa Helton.
A memorial service will take place at 6:00 pm, Saturday, August 24, 2019 at his home.
