He graduated from Milano High School. He owned Nat's for 49 years. He loved music, playing the guitar and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was an easy going, one-of-a-kind man who will be missed deeply.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Dera Bankston; and sisters, Nina Avrett, and Robbie Bankston.
Rusty is survived by his daughter, Meagan Young and her husband Chris of Thorndale; son, Neil Bankston of Hutto; brother, George Bankston and wife Joyce of Milano; grandchildren, Rylee Bankston, Colby Bankston, and Scarlett Young; and special friend, Lynn Bankston of Thorndale.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2023, in Sand Grove Cemetery in Milano. Serving as pallbearers are Kelly Bankston, Dillon Bankston, Cody Avrett, Philip Young, Tyler Avrett, Weston Avrett, and Garrett Morton.
