Gilbert Aaron Abbott, 59, retired Salem groceryman, died Friday morning at his residence, 823 Highland Ave. NE. He had lived in this area for the past 16 years. He operated Abbott’s Farm Market on Portland Road.

Arrangements are pending at W. T. Rigdon.

Gilbert Aaron Abbott, retired Salem groceryman, died Friday, March 8, 1963, at his residence. He was 59.

He had lived in this area for the past 16 years. He operated Abbott's Farm Market on Portland Road.

Survivors include the widow, Cloris Abbott Salem; two sons, James, in the U.S. Army in Germany, and Vernon, Carpenteria, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Allen Reed, Mrs. Wayne Donley and Mrs. Darwin Wolf, all of Salem; 14 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild; father, Joseph Magruder, Sulpher, Okla., and a sister, Mrs. Nora Pennell, St. Louis, Mo.

Funeral services will be at the W. T. Rigdon Chapel and interment will be at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
