Butch, age 65, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a longtime resident of Loranger, LA. Butch was a member of Natalbany Baptist Church. He was an extremely hard worker and started work as a dairy farmer at the age of 10. He also worked for Consolidated Gravity Drainage District #1 of Tangipahoa as a heavy equipment operator as well as Mosquito Abatement. Butch was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed going hunting and fishing. His true passion lied with cooking and he could either be found watching cooking shows or cooking anything he could in his giant pots. Butch adored his daughters but loved being a Paw Paw to all of his grandbabies. He was a strong, good-hearted man who will be forever missed.
Butch is survived by his daughters, Denise Hart (Michael), Heather Matheny (James), and Amanda Graham (Roy Jr.); brothers, Wayne Addison (Carol), Jeff Addison (Mary), Ronnie Addison (Stephanie); grandchildren, Colt Hart, Kimberly Hart, Beau Matheny, Tyler Matheny, Briton Graham, Bryce Graham, Haley Graham; and great-grandchild, Paislee Graham. He is also survived by his best friend, Dianne Addison; step-daughter, Christen Rodriguez (Jared); and step-grandchildren, Daisy Rodriguez, Reese Rodriguez, and Cate Rodriguez.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joy and Louis Addison Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson, Hammond, on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Rodney Taylor will officiate and interment will follow in Addison Family Cemetery. Following interment a reception will be held at Crossbrand Cowboy Church.
