He was born February 4, 1941 in Danville, Illinois, the son of William Woodrow and Mary Oletha Booe of Danville, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Mary Pittman who he married in Danville, Illinois on September 3, 1966. Also surviving are his three children, Theresa (Tim) Everett of Tilton, Illinois, John Booe, Jr of Tilton, Illinois and Janet (Joe) Fender of Chrisman, Illinois; three grandchildren, Emily Everett, Luke Fender and Aaron Fender and two great-grandchildren, Aracely Stine and Lola Everett.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Everett and a sister, Linda Blough.
John was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tilton and was baptized on February 23, 2017. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his wife and two beagles Ruger and Boo Boo. John was an avid supporter of 2nd amendment rights. He retired after 30 years from Bohn/Heatcraft and was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at United Church of Tilton, 520 W. Fifth St., Tilton, with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Dan Kitinoja will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville. Rortvedt Funeral Services, 3 S. Hodge St., Tilton, is handling arrangements.
