Pauline Walker Scott, 88, died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Mayview Convalescent Center in Raleigh following a long period of declining health.

She was born September 1, 1919 in Burke County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Fletcher Bond Walker and Viola Dale Walker.

Pauline was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morganton, and a retired employee of Western Carolina Center.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jim Riggins of Raleigh; grandchildren, Anne Rogers and husband, Jimmy, of Raleigh, Stephanie Riggins of Charleston, SC, and Bobby Riggins and wife, Lee Ann, of Kansas City, KS; and great grandchildren, Brad, Scott, and Jay Rogers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dysart Marlor Scott; four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Thomas A. Bland, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 until 2 pm in the church parlor. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, PO Drawer 459, Morganton, NC 28680. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
