Hazel L. Hurlbutt, 92, Waukegan, formerly of Galva, died Wednesday, March 22 at Victory Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 16, 1897, in Galva, the daughter of Frederick Nathaniel and Winnie Hamilton Hurlbutt.
Surviving are two nieces, Mary Ellen Lundsten, Buffalo, Minn., and Alice Gless, Davenport, Iowa.
She taught school in Sioux City, Iowa, and Waukegan East High School. She graduated from Western Illinois University in Macomb.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 25 at 2 p.m. in First Congregational Church, Galva, with the Rev. Gary Bowman officiating. Visitation was prior to the service. Burial was in Galva Cemetery.
Peterson Funeral Home, Waukegan, was in charge of arrangements.
