Viola Marie Malsam Giebler, 80, of Valley Center, homemaker and teacher, died Sept. 13, 2006. Rosary was Sept. 17 and mass Sept. 18, both at St. Jude Catholic Church, Wichita. Burial was at Resurrection Cemetery, Wichita.
She was born Aug. 5, 1926, in Collyer, the daughter of Lawrence and Lena Malsam. She taught in Russell. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Malsam.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Polly Giebler of Wichita; daughter, Susan Peavler of Atchison; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Kathy Malsam of Arvada, Colo.; and granddaughters, Elizabeth Giebler, Annie Peavler.
A memorial has been established with the Alzheimer's Association, 347 Laura, Wichita, KS 67211. Baker Funeral Home had charge.
