Lloyd Decker Adams

September 13, 1941 - August 25, 2022


On the Evening of August 25th, 2022, Lloyd Decker Adams, age 80 returned home to our Father in Heaven. He had been residing at Sunshine Terrace Skilled Nursing Facility and passed away of causes incident to age. He was a long-term resident of Lewiston, Utah.


Lloyd was born to Ansel James and Elizabeth Gertrude on September 13, 1941, in Parowan, Utah. He graduated from Parowan High School in 1959 and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Western Canadian Mission. Lloyd studied at Southern Utah University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Utah State University in 1968. He served in the Utah Army National Guard and was honorably discharged. Lloyd married Christine Arave in February 1974 and together they had eight children.


Lloyd moved his family to Lewiston, Utah in 1986 and worked for Lazy Boy, retiring in 2004. Lloyd loved the outdoors and made many trips through Yellowstone and the Bryce Canyon area. He enjoyed taking his children and introducing them to the areas he loved to frequent.


Lloyd is preceded in death by his father Ansel, Mother Elizabeth, Wife Christine Arave, Sister Maurine Foster, Brother Lorain Adams, Brother Bryce Adams, Brother Bernarr (Red) Adams, Brother Hardy Adams, Sister Vilo Skidmore, Sister Trudie Jones, Daughter Heidi Adams, and Daughter Holly Adams. He is survived by his Brother Spencer Adams, Sister Sharon Cupp, Son Jeremy (Janna) Adams, Daughter Codie (Mason) Stevens, Son Caleb (Lincee) Adams, Daughter Anne (Brad) Winder, Son James (Jessica) Adams, and Son Michael Adams, along with 12 Grandchildren.


A funeral will be held in his honor at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 90th South Main in Parowan, Utah on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022 at 12:00 PM.
