Annie Carolyn Hilburn Hall, 93, widow of Harry Lee Hall, of Bladenboro, NC, died after an extended illness Sunday, March 12, 2023. Mrs. Hall was born in Hamlet, the daughter of the late Henry Marion Hilburn and Lula Ferguson. Mrs. Hall was a retired homemaker. She worked for the Bladenboro Cotton Mills and later at the Elizabethtown Manufacturing Company until 1971. She was a consummate craftsman for many years. Her crafts were recognized with ribbons at the county fair for several years. In her later years she shared her knowledge and joy for crafts at the Whiteville and Bolton Senior Citizens Centers. She grew up in Bladenboro Presbyterian Church and was a member there for decades until the church closed. She then joined Northside Baptist Church in Bladenboro where she remained a member til her death.

Visitation for Mrs. Hall is scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm with the Rev. David Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Cashwell Cemetery in Abbottsburg.

She is survived by her daughter, Lula H. Dorsey and husband, Paul, of Chadbourn, and sons, Henry L. and wife, Elisabeth, of West Columbia, SC and James E. and wife, Terry, of Bladenboro, and son-in-law, Robert Long. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Carolyn H. Manikas of Monroe, David Hord of Waxhaw, Andrew and Patrick Hall of Columbia, Amy D. Dudley and Justin Dorsey of Chadbourn, and Jennifer H. Britt of Bladenboro: sixteen great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. Also, special great grandchildren, Emalee and Linzee Dudley and Madalyn Dorsey; beloved nieces Virginia Allen, Alma Hilburn, and Sharon Bishop, and nephews Henry, Samuel, James, and Donald Hilburn.

She was predeceased by daughter Katherine H. Long, granddaughter Debra H. Long, and brothers, Henry Marion Hilburn, Jr., Richard Daniel Hilburn, and John William Hilburn.
