Clyde Jake Cody, Sr., 78, of Asheville, died Sunday, January 27, 2002, in an Asheville hospital.
Mr. Cody was born in Madison County and was a son Jim and Julie Grindstaff Cody. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Annis Franklin, and brothers Jack, Carl and Clarence Cody.
He was an Army veteran of WW II and was retired from American Enka.
He was a member of Enka Baptist Church where he was a deacon, former Sunday School Director, and past chairman of the Deacon Board.
