Joyce Irene Belcher, 85, of Hutchinson, died March 7, 2023, at her home. She was born May 5, 1937, in Hutchinson, to Chester Arthur and Bessie Florence (McKenna) Gould.

Joyce graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1955. She worked as a sales clerk at Pegues and Sears, made custom drapes for Jeanne's Custom Draperies, and then was the secretary for the railroad union for many years. Joyce loved dancing in her younger years, cooking, sewing, and the Kansas City Chiefs.

She is survived by: her children, Susie Grant of Denver, CO; Janie Hoefer (Gary) of Hutchinson, Dennis Belcher (Melinda) of Arlington, Tom Belcher of Hutchinson; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; and many extended family members.

Joyce was preceded in death by: her parents; granddaughter, Nicole "Nicky" Wells; and sister, Dora Givens.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Luke Helmuth officiating. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
