• Graveside services for George Wayne Jones, 84, Ringling, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Mario Pineda officiating.

Jones was born Jan. 1, 1917, at Foster to George and Margaret Franklin Jones. He died Sept. 10, 2001, in the Healdton hospital.

Married to Clydie Imogene Lampkin on Aug. 8, 1941, in Ringling, he retired from Mobile Oil Company in 1975 after 28 years of service. He moved from Eunice, N.M., in 1975 to Healdton and then to Ardmore in 1977. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Disabled American Veterans and a deacon at Southwest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Oct. 13, 1996; his parents; three brothers, A.J., Aubrey and Alford; and two sisters, Lou Ella Sanders and Wanda Wriggle.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Wilson, Lone Grove, and Joyce Moore, Aledo, Texas; and special niece, Cindy Morris of Ringling.

Honorary bearers are William Landrum, Leslie Jones, Billy Wilson, Mark Morris, Kenneth Wayne Jones and Paul Wilson.

Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice.
