Charles T. Miller was the adopted son of W. T. Miller and Mary Ella Santmyers Miller who are both buried at Bear Den Cemetery near Browntown, VA.
Charles T. Miller and Lula M. Manuel Miller were blessed with five children.
1) Mafie(Mayfee)Roberta Miller Updike (18 Jun 1904-29 Jan 1925) married on 25 Feb 1920 to Edwin Grafton Updike
2) Elwood Miller(1907-1987)m. Bessie Sumption
3) Hilbert Lee Miller (1909-1981)m. Hazel Wines
4) Mildred Miller Denny(1912-1959)
5) Geneva Elizabeth Miller Foote (1916-2010)m. James Alton Foote
Mafie Miller Updike died when she was only 21 years old due to a ruptured appendix. Charels T. Miller and Lula Manuel Miller stepped up and raised Mafie and Grafton Updike's young daughter - Margareta Updike so Grafton could work fulltime.
According to the book THE VIRGINIA UPDIKES/UPDYKES by Robert S. Craig The Virginia Updikes/Updykes, Mafee was buried in the Browntown Cemetery, but so far I have been unable to locate that cemetery nor the grave of Mafie.
Charles T. Miller died fairly young too at only 56 years old while plowing a field in Dismal Hollow. By then his children were all grown. When he was found he was still standing and holding on to the plow and amazingly had not fallen even though he was dead.
