Norma was born on September 3, 1935, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Leonard and Verna Adams Riddell. She was a lifelong member of the Substation Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, Miss Farthing is also preceded in death by her loving husband, William E. Farthing Sr., a son, William E. Farthing Jr., three brothers, Tommy, Billy, and Paul Riddell, three sisters, Judy Edmondson, Jean Hardy, and Barbara Johnson, and one grandson, Stephen Farthing.
Miss Farthing is survived by her daughter, Pamela Farthing and Dan, two sons, Terry Farthing and Betty jo, and Kenneth Farthing, all of Irvine, Kentucky. Two brothers, Michael Riddle and Mable and Ronnie Riddell and Debbie, both of Irvine, Kentucky. One sister, Lucy Clowers of Richmond, Kentucky. Five grandchildren, Tonya, Scott, Amy, Randy, and Kendra. Ten great Grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Along with numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Norma Sue Farthing will be conducted on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Marvin Neal will be officiating. Internment will follow in the Gary Riddell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from noon until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Monday.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Farthing, Randy Clowers, Phillip Clowers, Danny Thacker, Jeremiah Riddell and James Bergman.
