Oct. 10, 1945 - July 3, 2012
Fuquay-Varina
Judy Ransdell Walters, 66, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Daughter of Morton and Elaine Ransdell, the caring and loving mother of Jennifer Walters, Gene Walters and Jonathan Walters. Sister of Gennie Pearce and David Ransdell.
Before retiring in 2009, she served many years as an elementary school substitute teacher. She had a love for growing plants and flowers. Gardening was her way of spreading nature's beauty all around her home. If she had it her way, you would always find her at Kure Beach enjoying the ocean breeze, breaking waves and collecting shells.
Our mother seems so far away on that beautiful white shore across the sea. Yet I remember love's soft glow upon her face and the feel of her touch and tender embrace. When we reminisce about the things she used to say and we miss her and think she is so far away, we remember what she gave lives on through me and one day we'll see her on the shores across the sea.
A family and friends visitation service will be held at Williford Funeral Home in Fuquay-Varina, Friday, July 6, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The National Kidney Foundation serving the North Carolina Region, 4819 Park Rd., Suite C, Charlotte, NC 28209, would be an appropriate and appreciated way to celebrate her love for others in need.
