Homer "Chuck" Dudley Collins
December 17, 1945 – March 6, 2023

Homer Dudley "Chuck" Collins, age 77, of Jackson, Mississippi, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, at his home in Jackson. Services will be Sunday, March 12, at 1:30 PM at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, S.D. "Dee" and Maurice Little Collins of Jackson, MS and his brother, John "David" Collins of Mobile, AL.

He is survived by his two nieces, Allison Collins of Mobile, AL, and Caroline Collins of Portland, OR; sister-in-law, Leigh Ann Collins of Mobile, AL; and many loving friends.

A graduate of Murrah High School and the University of Mississippi, and a member of the United States Air Force, Chuck worked for the Mississippi Tax Commission until his retirement. A long time member of Broadmeadow United Methodist Church, and more recently Riverside Independent Methodist Church, he was present any time the doors were open. Chuck was a lifelong avid supporter of the Ole Miss Rebels, St. Louis Cardinals, and St. Louis Blues. In his retirement years he had close ties to the Belhaven University basketball team and could be seen on the sidelines at almost every practice and home game. He was a loving and generous son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed.
