Chipps, Allan Edward of Tillsonburg peacefully left us on Saturday February 18, 2023, at the incredible age of 105 years. Loving and proud dad of Dawn Hagell, Allana Merrill (Bill), Allan Chipps Jr. (Jackie) and Lynn Mudford (Trevor). Kind and loving grandpa of Dianne Vandermeersch (Rob), Edward Hagell, Allison Gilmore (Dave), Kelly Walters (Andrew), Darcie Merrill (Jordan), Jodie Tattoni (Richard), Derek Mudford (Kelly) and Joel Mudford (Sara).

He will be sadly missed by all his great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Predeceased by his adoring wife Patricia for 35 years (2019) and dear son-in-law, Keith Hewer (2020). Predeceased by all his brother and sisters and parents Francis Chipps and Willehmine Voigt. Survived by sisters-in-law, Helen Chipps and Fleda Chipps as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Allan will be forever remembered for his strong work ethic having many jobs during his lifetime including mechanic, construction worker, builder, farmer, contractor-estimator. Some jobs taking him as far away as Baffin Island. Even during his retirement years he fixed boat motors, lawn equipment for neighbours in Stratford and in Florida.

More notably, Allan will be remembered as a true and loyal friend, gathering many friends throughout his lifetime with his welcoming smile and positive outlook on life.

Allan was quietly proud to have served in the RCAF earning his navigation certification. He participated in the Veterans/Remembrance Day services/parades throughout the years in both Stratford and Tillsonburg.
In his retirement years along with his wife, Patricia, they enjoyed several trips to British Columbia and Alaska and of course these two snow birds spent 20 plus winters in Florida.

Family and Friends are invited to attend the public visitation to be held on Friday March 3, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, ON. The Funeral Service to honour Allan Edward Chipps will be held at Ostrander's Funeral Home, Saturday March 4, 2023 at 11:00am.
