Mr. Kaminski was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a cook.
Richard retired in 1995 after 31 years of employment for Ford Motor Company's Sterling plant.
He was a member of United Auto Workers Local # 228.
He enjoyed golf and playing Santa Claus.
He is survived by his wife, Velma; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Champine; grandson, Edward; siblings, Barbara (Charles) Cameron, James (Sherry) Kaminski, Betty Borgula and Ron (Cheryl) Kaminski; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Loren on Aug. 7, 2004; and parents, Henry Kaminski and Viola Kassube Kaminski.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon Friday at St. Lawrence Church, Utica.
Arrangements were directed by Gramer Funeral Home, Diener Chapel, Utica.
