Lela Estelle "Sally" Davis, 89, of Clanton, Alabama passed away February 4, 2023, at her residence.

Daughter of the late Johnny Short and the late Lela Nelson, Sally was born June 26, 1933 in Clanton, Alabama.

Sally worked diligently her entire life, including thirty-three years with the Morrow Company where she served countless tenants and families, until finally retiring at the age of 82. Often referred to as the "go go girl", she was always ready to go, whether that meant out of state, across town, or just to her kitchen table to play dominos, cards, or Rummikub. She had the energy of a teenager, and didn't want to miss a thing, always living her life to the fullest! She never met a stranger and could start up a conversation with just about anyone. She was also known as "The Facebook Queen" wishing a happy birthday, anniversary, or just to have a good day, even if she did not know you personally.

She was known for her spirited temperament, she loved to laugh and was never too proud to laugh at herself. Most of all, she loved her family, tirelessly serving, supporting, and encouraging them in every way possible, including attending every awards program, banquet, game, and big life event she could. Her favorite thing was being surrounded by her loved ones, filling them with her delicious cooking and joyous, lively company. She was truly cherished by her whole family and so many others because of her warmth, vivacity, and selfless love. Having raised her family in church, Sally attended Cedar Grove Bible Church for many years and was a member at Bethsalem Baptist Church, Pleasant Grove Methodist Protestant, and Liberty Hill Baptist prior to that. She was a testament to us all as she loved people the way God calls us to do.

Surviving are her Daughter, Reba (Rick) Mims; Sons, Jeff (Sandra) Caroll, Glen (Leah) Graham, Mike (Alice) Graham; Sister, Delene Carroll; Brother, Melton (Linda) Short; Step-Brother, Wayne (Jean) Nelson; 11 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Jerry Davis, Husband, Donald Graham, Husband, Henry Carroll; Father, Johnny Short, Mother, Lela Weldon Short Nelson, Daughter, Wanda Mikell, Sister, Jewell Robinson, Sister, Gertrude Hayes, Sister, Jeanette Smitherman, Brother, J.W. Short, Brother, Howard Short.
