Mrs. Jackie Adair Jernigan Giles, 96, of Erwin passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, at Harnett Woods Nursing & Rehab in Dunn.
Mrs. Giles was born July 22, 1926, in Harnett County daughter of the late Fletcher and Mabel Adair Barbour Jernigan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Monroe Giles, Sr.; sons, Johnnie Giles and Joseph Monroe Giles, Jr.; sisters, Rosalee Hodges, Thelma Jernigan, and, Judy Walters; granddaughter, Julie Greider, and grandson, Jared Giles.
Mrs. Giles and her husband owned and operated Service Cleaners in Erwin where she was very particular about their work. She was a loving mother and faithful Christian instilling her Christian values in her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Erwin Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Ellen G. Scott and husband, Woody of Raleigh, Debbie G. Greider, and husband, Dan of Coats; grandchildren, John Scott, Michael Giles and wife, Jessica, Eric Scott and wife, Amanda, Nathan Giles and wife, Brandi, Trevor Giles, several great-grandchildren and sister, Nancy Mackey of Charlotte.
The family will receive friends 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the funeral home prior to the service.
