She loved animals, wild life, nature and had the upmost affection for her dog Harry. She and her husband provided an abundance of feeders for the birds (and squirrels) off their deck. Her favorite bird was the hummingbird. Dee Dee was the first girl to play Little League baseball in Waynesboro, PA on the team her father coached. She was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching Hallmark movies. She spent leisure time reading many books and at night enjoyed star gazing, especially the constellations. Her favorite was Orion.
Dee Dee is survived her husband, Richard Eigenbrode of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; her brother Douglas B. McCarney of Greencastle, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday evening, March 6, 2023, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
