John A. Deane was a retired employee of Rock Island Railroad. Until his retirement two years ago, was the general superintendent of the Rock Island car shop in Trenton, Missouri. Since his retirement had been living at Bozeman, Montana and Bloomington, Illinois.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, and Knights Templar.
