Albert George Burghart, 89, of Topeka, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at Stormont Vail Health.

He was born September 25, 1933, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Albert Peter Burghart and Elizabeth Catherine (Brost) Burghart. Albert attended St. Joseph grade school and Hayden High School.

Albert worked as a printer for Adams Business Forms for 46 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.

He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, fishing, gardening, yard work, traveling, dancing, and going on cruises.

Albert married on June 1, 1957, in Topeka, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include his children, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, brothers, and sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rosemary Halliwell, and brothers, Harold Burghart and Robert Burghart.

The family will receive friends 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday, March 2, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, where a Knights of Columbus Rosary will be prayed at 6:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am, Friday, March 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas.
