She is survived by her children, Helen Gwynn, Chester Burton, David Murphy and George Walter, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a brother Chester Clay Compton.
She is preceeded in death by her parents and one daughter.
Her constant wish was when she died that her baby Debby Ruth who lived only 11 hours be exhumed and buried with her. After being told that getting the approval done in time to accomplish this was impossible, this didn't deter her sons from seeing it done. David walked the papers through and got approval in one day. Debby's body was exhumed and her Brother Chester Burton and his daughter drove to Alpine the day of the funeral and picked up her small body, wrapping it in a new pink blanket. Upon returning to Sabinal she was placed in her mother's arms in the casket and they were buried together as Aunt Helen had wanted.
