He was born June 17, 1957, in Hammond, Indiana, to Robert and Constance Alexander.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Illinois State University in May of 1979. He worked for American Airlines for 24 years, beginning in baggage and working his way up to Human Resources.
Chris is survived by his mother, Constance Alexander who resides in Flower Mound; three brothers: Robert Alexander and his wife, Karen, Oxford, Michigan; John Alexander and his wife, Linda, Flower Mound, Texas; and Timothy Alexander, Crown Point, Indiana; three sisters: Mary Lu Norland and her husband, Richard, Paola, Kansas; Florence "Bunny" Gierczak and her husband, Glenn, Highland Village, Texas; and Ann Alexander, San Antonio, Texas.
Uncle Chris blessed the lives of his nephews and nieces who enjoyed his generous, loving, and teasing nature; Abby, Brandi, Brent, Erin, Ethan, Katie Beth, Kelly, Lucas, Matthew, Michael, Nicholas, Ryan, and Sean.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Robert Alexander, Jr.
Chris was not only a doting uncle, but a devoted friend to many. He was an avid golfer, ice hockey fan and participant, was able to travel extensively to many foreign destinations, always taking along a friend or family member for the adventures, was committed to his physical fitness, a lover of animals, always ready with a quick, clever quip or phrase or a practical joke just for fun, and could frequently be seen in the stands at Notre Dame football games.
St. Ann's Catholic Parish, 180 Samuel Blvd., Coppell, TX hosted the visitation on Monday, February 18, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Ann's on Tuesday, February 19, at 10 a.m.
Chris was interred following the Mass at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Denton, Texas.
