PEKIN - Steven E. Horner, 48, of Pekin passed away at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Pekin Hospital.

He was born on Nov. 22, 1959, the son of Kenneth and Ruth Carter Horner.

Steve will be sadly missed by his children, Megan, Luke, Isaac, Samuel, Robin, Christopher and Jacob; as well as his extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Steve was a printer for many years and was employed at International Paper in Peoria for 18 years until their closing in 1995. He later was employed at the Pekin Daily Times for several years as a printer and also in the circulation department until the time of his death.

Steve's final work was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

A celebration of Steven's life will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Clary Funeral Consultants in Peoria. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

In lieu of service and visitation, memorials may be made in Steve's memory to the Gift of Hope Tissue and Donor Network, 660 N. Industrial Drive, Elmhurst, IL 60126.
