Mrs. Katie Ruth Henson Barnett, 82, of Portersville, Ala., passed away Sunday, July 9, in Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, She was a homemaker.
Graveside services were Wednesday, July 12, at 2 p.m. in Shady Grove Cemetery in Etowah County, with the Rev. Sam Parker officiating and Perry Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Barnett is survived by two sons, Cecil Edmond Henson of Gardendale, Ala. and Billy R. Monday of Hokes Bluff; three step-sons, C.W. Barnett of Gaines, Mi., Fre Barnett of Senoi, Ga. and Charles Barnett of Tyrone, Ga.; a step-daughter, Alice Bone of Summerville, Ga., four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Barnett, in 1990.
She was the daughter of the late Clinton and Eula Mae Martin Henson.
